Baptism @ grace

Jesus asked His followers to publicly display their faith Him and to remember the meaning of His death and resurrection. He gave His church a beautiful and meaningful observance called baptism.

Baptism is a powerful symbol of what Jesus did for us. He was crucified, buried, and rose again. We see this pictured when a new believer is baptized. As the Apostle Paul observed, "We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." (Romans 6:4)

Grace Fellowship practices believer's baptism by immersion. That means we baptize only those who have made a personal profession of faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord, and it means that fully immerse the person being baptized. This is an act that most closely reflects baptism in the New Testament and embraces the symbolism of death and resurrection.
